Chibi Commissions
What is a Chibi?
"Chibi" in Japanese means "small; diminutive; cute version," and is often used as a term of endearment, or to refer to a "super-deformed," super-cute style of drawing. In terms of my commissions, a "chibi" is any drawing that is intentionally disproportionate or "super-deformed (SD)" with the intention of making it cute, whether in anime style or not.
What Does a Chibi Commission Cost?
Chibis in any style cost:
- $10 for digital.
- $11 for pen-and-ink.
- $12 for Prismacolor colored pencil.
Extra characters in a piece are $5 each.
If you would like me to mail you the original of a traditional piece, please add $2 S&H within the US and Canada and $5 worldwide.
Please see the Commission Contact page to order a chibi!
What Do DAS's Chibis Look Like?
Types and examples of chibis include:
- Skinny - Scrawny little limbs; high detail. Very… er. Expressive. :3
- Ragdoll - Stuffed-doll style!
[Example coming soon! No really, I've got one ready for coloring now.]
- Kid - Little toddler/youngster version of the character, in clothing and demeanor as well as "proportions."
- Animal - Cartoony, super-cute animal characters.
- Chubby - Kind of like… a bean-bag with limbs.
- Is there another chibi I've drawn that you think is different or special? Feel free to include a link to it when commissioning and tell me what you like about it! I'll try to emulate that in your commission!
- Is there another style of chibi that someone else has drawn that you'd like me to try for your commission? Let me know! I'll see what I can do.
