Lineart Commissions

What is a Lineart?

Lineart is what it sounds like: a piece of art made entirely of lines. Basically, it's the inked outline made of a picture before coloring. All of my colored pieces begin with an inked linework.

What Does a Lineart Commission Cost?

Lineart in any style cost:

  • $8 for digital.
  • $8 for calligraphic marker.
  • $12 for outline.
  • $15 for weighted.

Extra characters in a piece are $6 each.

If you would like me to mail you the original of a traditional piece, please add $2 S&H within the US and Canada and $5 worldwide.

Please see the Commission Contact page to order lineart.

What Does DAS's Lineart Look Like?

Types and examples of Lineart include:

  • Digital - Digital are less expensive because at this time I'm not that great at digital lineart. Most of my digital works begin with traditional linework. Digital lineart commissions will probably, therefore, be of lower artistic quality than traditional.
Tabby Kross - Lineart Glomp of Death - Lineart
  • Marker - Calligraphic marker. Essentially a finished piece, though not as detailed. More focused on the line weight and style than level of detail.
Chinese Goofball - Lineart
  • Outline - Inked piece; thin, unweighted lines, although full detail.
Serpentine - Lineart Dragonbird - Lineart
  • Weighted - Inked piece; lines are weighted in such a way as to add depth and detail to the piece even before addition of color. Some of my favorite work.
Toro Tat' Love Triangle - Lineart
  • Is there another lineart I've drawn that you think is different or special? Feel free to include a link to it when commissioning and tell me what you like about it! I'll try to emulate that in your commission!
  • Is there another style of lineart that someone else has drawn that you'd like me to try for your commission? Let me know! I'll see what I can do.
