History
Personality
Seamus has a cheerful, surprisingly easygoing nature, a dry sense of humor, and a sharp tongue. While he generally tries to be nice to everyone—and honestly likes just about everyone he meets—he can't help but be teasing whenever the opportunity presents itself. It is never his intent to be harmful or malicious, with words or with actions. Sometimes, however, his forthright and honest and nature can make him appear cruel. Seamus also has a very strong moral center, and while he sees no problem with breaking what's already broken or taking higher-ups down a few pegs, he does his level best not to take from those who can't afford to give. Seamus is also, as a rule, nonviolent, and will do his best to work things out with words. He will never throw a first punch, will always prefer dodges, blocks and holds to return strikes, and may well retreat or run just to avoid conflict.
He instantly gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, no matter who they are. In his eyes, everyone is innocent until proven guilty of something, and everyone is likeable until presenting a reason to be disliked. Even if someone seems outright unlikeable, Seamus will do whatever he can to find something good and personable about him or her. It takes a lot to make an enemy of Seamus, as in addition to being friendly and trusting with everyone, he tries his best to be forgiving. He's not stupid, however, and doesn't easily forget past transgressions: while it doesn't take much to regain his friendship, it'll take a lot to regain his trust.
Seamus is very confident in himself and his abilities, to the point of downright arrogance. This arrogance does not cloud his judgment, however: his views of himself, while proud, are incredibly realistic. As such, Seamus barely has a competitive bone in his body: he knows, not thinks, he is better than just about everyone when it comes to what he is good at, and therefore has no need whatsoever to prove it to himself or to anyone else. Also thanks to this realistic attitude, he has no problems with admitting when he is wrong or beaten, or when someone bests or is better than him. He prefers honesty to swagger, both in himself and in others.
Powers
Stunts
[LOCK PICK] The ability to force a lock to open itself — or to lock itself. This works for both key-operated and electronic locks assuming the lock itself is made of moving parts. Success rate greater for simpler devices. Minimum roll of GOOD required.
[AUTO REPAIR] The ability to repair a car engine through Mechanopathy. Direct placement of hands upon the engine has greater success rate than placement of hands upon hood or undercarriage. Placement of two hands has greater success rate than placement of one. Requires roll of GOOD for minor fixes. GREAT or higher for more damaged cars.
[MAKE IT RUN] The ability to force a functional but unpowered mechanical device or clockwork to move as though powered. Clockwork only runs while physical contact with the device is maintained. Success rate greater for normal forward movement of clockwork than reverse movement. Minimum roll of GOOD required for forward. GREAT for backward.
[MONKEY WRENCH] The ability to cease the function of a mechanical device or clockwork by forcing one or more parts out of alignment. Success rate greater for more delicate and/or intricate devices. Minimum roll of GOOD for very complex devices such as clocks or cars. Minimum roll of SUPERB for very simple devices such as deadbolt locks.
[TICK-TOCK] The ability to determine how a device runs or what in that device is broken or misaligned. Success rate greater for simpler devices. Minimum roll of GOOD for simple devices such as music boxes. Minimum roll of GOOD for any automobile. Minimum roll of GREAT or higher for progressively more complicated devices.

Physical Appearance
This man is one who gains the occasional second glance in the street, more due to the way he carries himself than anything else. He is handsome, with a shock of orange-red hair, fairly high cheekbones and a slightly cleft chin, and while he doesn't put off an air of being anything but your average Joe, he practically oozes confidence and curiosity. He's of average height, 5'10", and has average build, weighing in at a little under 160 pounds. His eyes are an oceanic shade of blue-green, usually sparkling with bright laughter. He is usually seen with a jovial, almost goofy smile upon his face. He looks rather like a bum, however: his chin is prickly with a few days' stubble, his short, scruffy hair rather unkempt. He's usually found in some variation of dark brown jeans and a rumpled black t-shirt, with heavy dark leather boots on his feet. When out-of-doors, he normally wears fingerless dark leather gloves on his hands, and a thick, tan, wool-lined trench coat on his back.
